Arvid Assarsson
Living and working
in Vienna since 2021
Arvid Assarsson was born in Sweden and Studied Musical theater in Gothenburg at the Balettakademien. He finished his graduation 2013, moved to Germany and shortly thereafter started working as a singer on the AidaVita cruise ship. In 2015 he joined the ensemble in Wizard of Oz, in Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, which was followed by The Rocky Horror Show, where he covered Rocky. In 2016 he went back to Gothenburg to play ensemble and cover Hubert in Hair at the opera. An other contract followed in the next season where he played ensemble in The Phantom of the Opera, which was played in English.
Back in Germany he played first cast Bill Calhoun in Kiss me Kate 2019, in Darmstadt, and meanwhile also doing West Side Story in Bonn where he was cover Riff and Action.
The first production in Austria was the Cameron Macintosh production of Miss Saigon, where he covered John in Raimund Theater, Vienna. In the same theater he then covered Jack Favell in Rebecca.
In Theater an der Wien he played King Augustus Herrmann in Candide and in the summer of 2024 he played Schwarzenberg and cover Franz Joseph on the open-air concert at Schloss Schönbrunn. He also performed as Brad in The Rocky Horror Show at the Musikfestival in Steyr.
His latest performance on stage was in Rebecca as Maxim de Winter on the China Tour.
